Plan For The Future: Alex Rodriguez Park

Alex Rodriguez Park is taking form as part of a three-phase process.

Phase I, which called for seating modifications, new dugouts, new stadium lighting and utility infrastructure and new rest rooms have all been completed. Phase II will entail renovating below the grand stand area and prepping the area for the installation of the concession stands.

The completion of Alex Rodriguez Park has entered its final stage, phase III. Concession stands are scheduled to be ready for occupancy for the home game against the University of North Florida on Tuesday May 13, 2008. Final inspection of the concession stands took place April 25, 2008.

The final stage will be the completion of the press box, suites, box office and clubhouse. Conduits are being laid for the electrical needs. The plumbing is also in the process of being laid. Foundation will be poured in mid April of 2008. Construction will continue throughout the summer and fall and the stadium is scheduled to be completed by late spring or early summer of 2009.

The first floor of the newly renovated Alex Rodriguez Park will house the coaches' locker room, clubhouse, storage area, merchandise center and weight room. The second floor will contain a conference room that will be used for meeting as well as an area that will be used to conduct interviews for various media outlets. The third floor will have the press box in the center and two suites on either side. The press box and suites will have a balcony attached to them. This will allow media more room for equipment and more room for suite goers to enjoy Hurricane Baseball.
