Allen Augustin is in his fourth year as an Academic Advisor for the University of Miami Athletics Department. He advises the freshman football student-athletes, as well as the rowing, track & field and cross country teams.

A Miami native, Augustin played football at Florida State, advancing from walk on to starting linebacker by his junior season. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004 and by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2005. Augustin graduated from FSU with a bachelor's degree in creative writing in 2002 and added a master's degree in communication in 2003.
