Ben Creed is in his fourth year with the University of Miami Athletics Department, serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales. He manages the department responsible for season ticket, group and premium seat sales for all of the Hurricanes' revenue-generating sports.

Prior to coming on board at UM, Creed founded The Sports Group LLC in 2000 -- a Florida-based sports marketing consulting firm specializing in corporate sponsorships, including naming rights and sponsorship sales. Clients of the Sports Group included the Miami Heat, American Airlines Arena, Ultra Motorsports (NASCAR), Gwynn-Steinbrenner Racing, National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), Speedvision World Challenge, the Indy Racing League (IRL), Collegiate Images and the New Jersey Devils (NHL). He was an integral part of the 2007 naming rights deal for the Devils' venue - the Prudential Center.

During the eight years prior to founding The Sports Group, Creed served in several positions with the Florida Marlins, including Director of Marketing Partnerships and Vice President of Marketing. As VP of Marketing, he oversaw and directed all aspects of marketing, advertising, sponsorships and other creative services associated with the organization.

He also spent three years as Director of Sales for a minor league baseball club in the Florida State League (FSL) where he worked with Mike Veeck, son of Hall of Fame baseball promoter Bill Veeck.

Creed earned his bachelor's degree from Purdue University and went to receive his M.B.A. from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago.
