Tom Ponietowicz is in his second year as an assistant director of events with the University of Miami Athletics Department.

He oversees the gameday operations for baseball, women's soccer, swimming & diving and rowing, and also assists with the event management of football, men's and women's basketball and track & field.

A native of Norristown, Penn., Ponietowicz was a three-year letterman as a pitcher for Marshall University's baseball team. He graduated from Marshall in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in sports management and marketing, and then added a master's degree in athletic administration in 2010.
