Travis Watkins is in his second year as an Assistant Director for Ticket Operations with the University of Miami Athletics Department.
Among his many duties, he handles football away-game processing and student tickets, coordinates all ticketing related to women's basketball and supervises all student-assistant workers on staff.
Affectionately known as "Tank" within the UM Athletics Department, Watkins previously served as an intern in the the Athletic Ticket Office at the University of Wisconsin, where he was in charge of student ticketing and season ticket renewals for the Badgers football program. He also interned with the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colo., handling International Games Operations for all U.S. Olympic and Paralympics Teams.
A 2005 graduate of the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in international relations and political science, Watkins was a four-year letterwinner for the Trojans football program under former head coach Pete Carroll. As an offensive lineman for the Trojans from 2000-04, he was a member of three Pac-10 championships (2002-04) and two National Championships (2003, '04). He was also a member of the Trojans track & field program, competing in throws during the 2001 campaign.
A native of San Diego, Calif., Watkins was a recipient of an NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee, Ethnic Minority Postgraduate Scholarship Award for Career in Athletics in 2005, while also receiving the John Wayne Memorial Scholarship from the USC Football Alumni Club.
