HURRICANE FORCE REWARD PROGRAM

CONCEPT:
A fun, sponsor-driven incentive program to increase attendance and school spirit among students at all Miami Hurricane sporting events.
HISTORY:
During the 2003-04 college basketball season, the University of Miami Athletic Department and the Category 5 Student Organization unveiled the newly created Hurricane Force Reward Program. Although the program hopes to expand to all Miami Hurricane athletic events, it is currently being utilized only during men's and women's home basketball games.
PROGRAM:
As part of this free program, all University of Miami students have the opportunity to become a "Hurricane Force" member by giving their name, phone number and email address in exchange for an official Hurricane Force t-shirt and reward card.
Upon signing up for the program, each time a member attends a Hurricane basketball game, he/she will receive a stamp on their reward card. When a Force member reaches a certain stamp level, he/she will receive retail discounts, food products, merchandise, and even become eligible for several grand prizes.
During one of the last home basketball games, there will be a half-time presentation to recognize the grand prizewinners and corporate sponsors for their participation.

To sign up for the program, stop by the Hurricane Force Reward Center located outside the student section at the Convocation Center during any regular season Hurricane basketball game. You can also print out the registration form below and fax it to (305) 284-3362. (Please remember to stop by the Hurricane Force Reward Center to receive your t-shirt and reward card).

HURRICANE FORCE PROGRAM RECEIVES TOP ACCOLADE!
The Hurricane Force Program was the recipient of the 2003-04 Silver Winner for Best Student Promotion at the 13th Annual NACMA Workshop in Dallas, Texas. The 2004 NACMA (National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators) convention, held annually, recognizes colleges and universities with outstanding achievements in the field of marketing and promotions.
