and the Lombardi Trophy (best interior lineman)…a preseason Playboy All-American,

McKinnie's physical gifts and
intelligence have combined to make him one of the finest offensive linemen in
all of college football...shows improvement with each game...a major reason for
the tremendous development of UM's 2000 offensive line from a question mark into,
perhaps, the team's finest unit...one of Miami's largest players, his impressive

surprising quickness and agility for a player his size...
A former member of his high school band (played the bass drum), McKinnie has played
only five seasons of competitive football...credits childhood activities such
as step aerobics and wrestling for his amazing agility and balance...one of the
team's quietest and most easygoing players, in addition to being one of the smartest...in
addition to his outstanding ability as a pass protector, he has made tremendous
strides as a run blocker…a major factor in Miami's allowing only three quarterback
sacks credited to the offensive line during the 2000 season...combines with right
tackle Joaquin Gonzalez to comprise college football's finest tackle duo…tremendous
athlete who ran the 400 meters for his high school track team.

Florida State in which he held FSU's Jamal Reynolds sackless on the day through
38 pass attempts...played a major role in Miami's pass protection on a line that

helped pave the way for a 1,000-yard season by tailback James Jackson, just the
fifth time a Miami back has surpassed the 1,000-yard plateau...was part of a line
