A legitimate candidate for the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy as one of college football's finest defensive ends, University of Miami senior Jerome McDougle has been a standout big play man for college football's deepest defensive line the last two seasons.

McDougle is a prodigious pass rushing force for the Hurricanes. He has tremendous strength and agility, allowing him to go around blockers or through them to get to the quarterback. This gifted lineman has been a standout for the Hurricanes since his first day on campus, joining the team in 2000 and becoming a star during Miami's 2001 National Championship season with an astonishing 48 quarterback hurries.

The brother of NFL offensive lineman Stockar McDougle and the cousin of Oklahoma defensive tackle Tommie Harris, Jerome McDougle is making a name for himself among college football's outstanding defensive players and is deserving of consideration for the Lombardi and Outland Awards, as well as All-America honors.
