Novice Rowing Information
Anyone interested in Novice Women's Rowing should fill out the on-line questionnaire.
No Experience is necessary- we will teach you everything that you will need to know about our sport. Some of the questions on the questionnaire are rowing specific, but please just answer everything that you can, and tell us about your other sports background in the comments box at the bottom of the form. When registering for classes, you should not schedule any classes before 9:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday, and you should not schedule any classes before 10:00 am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you have to take a class in this time block, just let us know and we will work it out.
Everyone is encouraged to try out for the team. We are looking for both rowers and coxswains. Typical university rowers are 5'8" or taller and physically fit, and typical coxswains are under 125 pounds. If you are a little shorter than 5'8" and have a great work ethic, we encourage you to try out!
It is not too late to join the University of Miami Women's Rowing Team. Please call or e-mail Head Coach Andrew Carter at 305-284-9198, or e-mail him at at a.carter3@miami.edu with specific questions. Thanks.
