AT MIAMI: Three-time All-American is one of the top divers in
the U.S. collegiate ranks...will compete in the 1-, 3-, and platform diving
events...earned All-America honors as the fifth highest individual scorer
(47 points) at the 1997 NCAA Championships...placed second in the 10-meter
event (810.70) and fourth in the 1-meter (552.45) and 3-meter (584.9) springboard...finished
second in the 1-meter event behind teammate Rio Ramirez at the 1997 BIG
EAST Championships and third in the 3-meter behind Ramirez and Tyce Routson...competed
at the 1997 World University, placing eighth in the preliminaries on the
1-meter diving competition...named 1996 NCAA Diver of the Year...earned
All-America honors, finishing in first place at the 1996 NCAA Swimming
& Diving Championships in the 10-meter diving competition, and placing
second in the three-meter event and third in the one-meter event...finished
second in the 1-meter event at the 1996 BIG EAST Championships, behind
teammate Chris Mantilla, and finished third in the three-meters, behind
Mantilla and Routson...earned All-America honors as a freshman finishing
second at the NCAA Championships in the 10-meter event and fifth in the
3-meter event...joined Mantilla and Routson to become the first freshman
trio from the same school to finish in the top three spots at the NCAA
Champion-ships in the 10-meter diving competition...member of the 1996-97
