Junior track and field student-athlete Mikese Morse has been selected as the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending March 1.

The Tampa, Fla. native had an exceptional weekend at the ACC Track and Field Meet hosted by Virginia Tech over the weekend. Morse finished second in the long jump on Friday, February 27 at the meet by jumping a UM record 7.90 meters. That performance surpassed a jump recorded 17 years ago by former track and football standout Horace Copeland. On the meet's final day (Saturday, February 28), Morse came back to finish second in the triple jump with a season best mark of 15.35 meter.
