Senior sprinter Murielle Ahoure has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 19.

In her first individual outdoor performances of the year, Ahoure won both the 100 and 200-meter dashes at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Cobb Stadium on UM's campus April 16-18.

She ran 11.36 seconds in the 100 and 22.98 seconds in the 200.

Earlier this year, Ahoure won the 200-meter title at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. In February, she won both the 60 and 200 meter events at the ACC Indoor Meet. For that effort, Ahoure was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Year.
