•Played for Bob King at Winter Park High School
•Went 1-2 with a 4.0 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 2008
•Had best prep season in 2007, going 5-0 with 62 strikeouts and a 1.62 ERA on the mound while also hitting .415 with seven homers and 31 RBI
•Named All-Metro and All-District as a freshman in 2006
