Played for Tom Duffin at Monsignor Edward Pace High School...four-year letterman...first-team All-Dade County selection as a senior and second team as a junior...first-team All-state selection as a senior.
Senior (2002):
At the plate, batted .475 with two home runs and 24 RBI, while stealing 14 bases...on the mound, went 3-0 with a 1.20 ERA and 27 strikeouts...earned All-Tournament honors at Sarasota Tournament.
Junior (2001):
Went 5-1 on the mound with an ERA that hovered around 1.00...struck out 58 batters, while saving three games...Hit .355 with two home runs, 20 RBI and 10 stolen bases...named to second-team All-Dade County during junior year.
Sophomore (2000):
Posted an 8-3 record on the mound with a 2.10 ERA and 84 strikeouts...picked up two saves in relief...team was district champs.
Freshman (1999):
Played on district and regional championship team as a freshman.
