At 1999 Coral Gables Regional: Started all three games...had his best game against FIU, scoring two runs...defensively, had put-outs in each of his six chances. At 1999 Coral Gables Super Regional: Started both games against Wake Forest...in seven at bats, had two hits, scored two runs and one RBI... walked three times...had two put outs in two chances. At 1999 College World Series: Started all four games...named to the All-Tournament team...batted .400 with four hits in 10 at bats...scored three runs and drove in two...walked four times...in game two vs. Alabama, went 3-of-4 with one RBI.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 1998
Named Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball...selected as a second-team freshman All-American by The Sporting News...appeared in 60 games, including 56 starts at second base...batted .348 with 63 RBI and 16 home runs... had streak of four straight games with a home run (4/4-11)...hit game-winning, three-run home run in the top of the 10th propelling UM to a road sweep over FSU...in six-game season series vs. FSU, hit four home runs with 12 RBI and a 1.000 slugging percentage...has hit two grand slams (2/15 at Florida, 2/22 vs. Notre Dame)...set a school record and tied an NCAA record with two triples in one inning vs. Illinois (3/6)...also tied a record for grand slams in an inning (2)...named MVP of the BELLSOUTH/ Hurricane Diamond Classic. At 1998 Atlantic I Regional: Started all five games at second...went 5-for-19 (.263) with two home runs and 12 RBI...went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored vs. South Carolina.
