Jimmy Goins is in his ninth year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the University of Miami, working primarily with the Hurricanes' baseball and track & field programs.
Prior to his arrival at UM in 2004, Goins worked at the University of San Diego (2001-03), with the Chattanooga Lookouts (2001), University of Tennessee (1999-2000), Kurt Hester's Olympic Training Center (1998), Louisiana State University (1995-98) and the Gayle Hatch Olympic Training Center.
He earned a bachelor of science from LSU in 1998 and a master's in sports administration from Tennessee in 2000. He is married to the former Stephanie Sutton and the couple has twin sons, Wyatt and Remington.
