Had three outings in which he tossed two full shutout innings (2/23 vs. Cincinnati, 4/9 vs. FAU, 4/23 vs. FIU)
Averaged 1.1 strikeout per inning pitched
Did not earn a decision in any of his eight appearances
Only allowed one home run in 14.1 innings after allowing five in 11.2 his freshman season
FRESHMAN SEASON - 2007
Tossed just 11.2 innings, allowing 16 earned runs in 11 appearances
Recorded nine strikeouts
Tossed 1.1 scoreless and hitless innings and struck out one in a 7-2 UM win over LaSalle (3/7)
Pitched 1.1 scoreless and hitless innings and struck out a career-high two in a 17-4 UM win over Elon (2/24)
Made two appearances in the series against Mercer (2/2-3), tossing a career-long two innings and finishing with a strikeout and two earned runs
Also saw action against UCLA (2/10), Fordham (3/2), Maryland (3/16), Georgia Tech (4/6), NC State (4/15), Wake Forest (5/12) and Louisville (6/1)
PREP CAREER
Played under head coach Pete Hertler at Miami Killian Senior High School
Earned First Team All-Dade County and Third Team All-State honors by the Miami Herald as a senior in 2006
Posted an overall record of 8-2 with 99 strikeouts and a 0.71 ERA his senior year
Went 3-1 with a 1.65 ERA and 48 strikeouts as a junior in 2005
