Played for head coach Troy Baker at Eagle's Landing High School ... pitched and played shortstop for the Eagles. Senior (2004): posted a 5-1 record on the mound while hitting three home runs while playing shortstop ... a team captain for the Eagles during his senior season ... earned first-team All-Region honors. Junior (2003): went 4-2 on the mound for Eagle's Landing with a 1.72 ERA ... at the plate hit four home runs ... earned first-team All-Region honors ... team advanced to the first round of the state playoffs.
