Battled through injury as a freshman in 2009, appearing in just seven games ... Will likely come out of the pen in 2010 but has the ability to start if called upon (made two early season starts last year).
FRESHMAN SEASON- 2009
•Made his collegiate debut and his first career start on February 21 against Rutgers
•Had a career-high four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings of relief work on April 25 vs. Virginia Tech
•Finished the year 0-0 with a 4.05 ERA, allowing six earned runs in 13 1/3 innings
•Made seven appearances, including two early season starts against Rutgers (Feb. 21) and Mount St. Mary's (March 4)
•Lasted at least one full inning in six of his seven outings
PREP CAREER
•Played for Todd Fitzgerald at American Heritage High School
•Missed his senior season due to injury
•Team won both state and national championships in 2008, finishing the season 31-2
•Went 1-0 with a perfect 0.00 ERA as a junior
