Hurricanes to Host Kids Skills and Drills Clinic

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- The Miami Hurricanes baseball program is proud to announce the second annual Kids Skills and Drills Clinic at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.  This year’s clinic, which is free to the public, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. 

The clinic will, for boys and girls ages 12 and under, will work on each player's hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running.  Kids will get to work with the current Miami Hurricanes players, then take part in a meet & greet session with the team at the end of the clinic.  In addition, all participants will receive a free general admission ticket to the Hurricanes' game on Sunday, Feb. 19 vs. Rutgers at 1 p.m.

Players will rotate between four 15 minute stations, receiving instruction from current Miami players.  At the end of the clinic, the kids will get a message from Head Coach Jim Morris.  Then the team will stick around for a meet & greet with the clinic participants.

Registration for the free clinic will begin on the Alex Rodriguez Park main concourse at 9 a.m.  Parents will need to sign a release waiver for their child to participate.  The clinic will start promptly at 10 a.m., so parents are encouraged arrive early.
