Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) - The No. 24 University of Miami baseball team will travel to Jupiter Wednesday to play an exhibition game against the Florida Marlins at 3:05 p.m. at Roger Dean Stadium. It will be the eighth meeting between the two teams, with the Marlins holding a 5-1-1 advantage in the series.

UM junior Ricky Orta will get the start for the Hurricanes on the mound against the Marlins' Justin Vargas. Orta is 1-1 on the season with a 3.60 ERA and is holding opponents to a team-low .176 average.

Miami won last year's meeting, 9-7, scoring six runs off Dontrelle Willis. Current UM sophomore Raudel Alfonso got the win and junior Danny Gil picked up the save last year as the Hurricanes pitched by committee. The `Canes are 2-23-1 all-time against Major League clubs.

UM returns to its college schedule Friday, March 3, at 7 p.m. against Indiana at Mark Light Field.
