Sophomore catcher Yasmani Grandal has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending February 22.

In four games last weekend against Rutgers, the Miami native hit .571 (4 for 7) as the Hurricanes opened the 2009 season by winning three of four games over the Scarlet Knights at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. For the series, Grandal drew six walks, scored five runs, had three RBI and hit two home runs.
