- Jemile Weeks went 3-for-5 with two runs and a career-high three stolen bases while Terdoslavich finished 2-for-4 with three RBI including his first career home run.
- The Hurricanes pounded out a season-high 14 hits and four pitchers combined for 11 strikeouts. Jason Santana (2-0) earned the win in his first start of the season and just the fourth of his career for the Hurricanes. He allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three in 5 1/3 innings of work.
- Yonder Alonso went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored and Blake Tekotte finished 2-for-4 with two runs for the Hurricanes.
- Jemile Weeks' three stolen bases marked the first time a Hurricane swiped three bases since Jon Jay accomplished the feat June 12, 2006 against Ole Miss at the Oxford Super Regional.

Boston College (6-4, 0-0 ACC) is in the midst of 10-game road trip in the state Florida and wraps up its stay when they too begin Atlantic Coast Conference play traveling to Miami. The Eagles have played eight games in the last nine days including an exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox. Friday's series opener at UM will be the team's ninth in the last 10 days. BC has gone 4-3 during its stay not counting a loss to the Red Sox. The Eagles defeated FIU, 7-3, on Monday before splitting a midweek series with FAU. BC won 10-6 on Wednesday after falling 4-3 on Tuesday. Second baseman Matt Hamlet leads the team hitting .450 in 10 starts. He has 18 hits and 10 RBI. Shortstop Barry Butera has a team-high 19 hits and 13 RBI while batting .413. As a team, BC is hitting .317 and already has 21doubles and 20 home runs in 10 games. ERICKSON NAMED TO ROGER CLEMENS AWARD LIST
Sophomore left-handed pitcher Eric Erickson has been named to the preliminary watch list for the fifth annual Roger Clemens Award given to the nation's top pitcher. Erickson is one of five pitchers from the Atlantic Coast Conference on the list.
