Earlier this season, head Miami coach Frank Haith was recognized by collegeinsider.com and the Prosser family as a finalist for the inaugural Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award. This new award will be presented annually to the Division I head coach who best represents the high standards of the coaching profession and wins with integrity.
Haith was among 10 finalists, including Mike Brey (Notre Dame), Rick Byrd (Belmont), Seth Greenberg (Virginia Tech), Trent Johnson (Stanford), Bob McKillop (Davidson), Sean Miller (Xavier), Matt Painter (Purdue), Bo Ryan (Wisconsin) and Gary Waters (Cleveland State), selected from a 21-member committee including ESPN college basketball analysts Jay Bilas and Fran Fraschilla.
