CAREER: Enters his second season as the starting quarterback after starting 12 of 13 games in 2003...an accurate passer who has produced a high completion percentage...weathered an inconsistent 2003 season by showing poise under pressure and exhibiting strong leadership skills...produced one of the most accurate seasons ever by a Miami passer in his first year as the Hurricanes' starting quarterback... teammates praise him for being a calm, steadying influence even in difficult game situations...graduated with a degree in sociology in May of 2004.

2002 (TRANSFER): Transferred from the University of Florida at the conclusion of the 2001 season...enrolled for the spring 2002 semester...sat out the 2002 season due to NCAA transfer regulations.

AT FLORIDA: Played in 12 games over the span of the 2000 and 2001 seasons, throwing for 653 yards and 11 touchdowns with two interceptions while completing 53-of-87 attempts (60.9 percent)... was in a tight battle for the starting role at quarterback prior to the 2001 season with eventual Heisman Trophy runner-up Rex Grossman.

2001 (SOPHOMORE): Played in eight regular season games and was the starting quarterback for Florida in the 2002 FedEx Orange Bowl victory over Maryland...completed 11 of 19 pass attempts for 196 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in the first half of the win over Maryland...completed a 46-yard scoring pass to Taylor Jacobs to give Florida a 14-0 lead in the first quarter...in the regular season, completed 36 of 60 passes for 483 yards and nine touchdowns and one interception...compiled a pass efficiency rating of 173.79...completed 60 percent of his pass attempts in the regular season...best game of the regular season was against Mississippi State in which he completed seven of 17 attempts for 114 yards and a touchdown.

2000 (FRESHMAN): Played in four of 12 regular season games (Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Auburn and Vanderbilt) for a total of 44 plays as a true freshman...was 17-of-27 for the season for 170 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for a passing efficiency rating of 132.89...enrolled at UF for the spring semester and took part in 2000 spring drills...named co-recipient of UF's Most Improved Quarterback Award during spring...best game was a 13 of 19 performance for 148 yards and two touchdowns against Mississippi State...played briefly against Middle Tennessee State, Auburn and Vanderbilt...did not play in the Nokia Sugar Bowl matchup against Miami.
