CAREER: Traditional fullback who has excelled as both a blocker
and a receiver...started the final three games of the regular season
and four games overall in 2003...struggled with injuries for much of
his first three seasons...impressive blocker on blitz pickups who has
developed into a solid threat as both a runner and receiver...business
management major.
2003 (JUNIOR): Played in 12 games, starting four
times...rushed for 18 yards on five carries (3.6 avg.) during the reg-ular
season...caught seven passes for 45 yards (6.4 avg.)...rushed
two times for 16 yards (8.0 avg.) against Louisiana Tech...caught
a crucial 11-yard pass for his only catch of the game in the win over
Florida...had one catch for seven yards against Boston
College...made one catch for three yards against West
Virginia...missed the Florida State game with an injury...rushed once
for three yards against Temple and caught a two-yard pass against
the Owls...had two catches for 16 yards against Tennessee, including

2002 (SOPHOMORE): Was an occasional starter at fullback,
sharing the starting role with Quadtrine Hill...played in six games and
had one carry for no gain...made one reception for 16
yards...missed the Virginia Tech game with an injury...suffered a
torn rotator cuff in the win at Syracuse while diving to catch a
pass...caught a pass for 16 yards in the win at Tennessee...entered
fall practice as the starter, but was sidelined by a leg injury during
two-a-days that forced him to miss the first two games of the season.
2001 (FRESHMAN): Played extensively as a backup to starter
Najeh Davenport and exhibited strong skill as a blocker in his red-shirt
freshman season...played in eight games, rushing six times for
16 yards and catching three passes for 15 yards...one of the
team's strongest young players...saw plenty of action with the
starting unit in certain situations.
2000 (REDSHIRT): One of 17 members of the 2000 recruiting
class to redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lakeland...versatile athlete who played wide
receiver, tight end, and fullback...saw time at tight end during his
senior season...was also the team's punter...recorded 24 catches
for 352 yards and six touchdowns...listed as the No. 77 overall
prospect in Florida by SuperPrep...selected first-team All-County
and second-team All-State as a tight end...played for Team Florida
in 2000 Florida/Georgia All-Star Game...timed at 4.65 in the
40...assisted team to a 45-12 win over Rutherford for the 1999
Class 5A State Championship...team compiled record of 61-2 over
his four years... four-sport letterman earning letters in football,
baseball, soccer and track...coached by Bill Castle.
