Phillip Eisenstein enters his second season as the defensive graduate assistant for the Miami Hurricanes. Eisenstein comes to UM with an eclectic coaching background that includes experience in both football and the martial arts.
Prior to arriving in Coral Gables, Eisenstein spent two seasons (2009, 2010) as a video assistant for the NFL's Cleveland Browns.
A native of Atlantic City, N.J., Eisenstein earned a degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University in 2008. While at ASU, he served as a Defensive Undergraduate Assistant for the Sun Devils from for all four years.
He began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach during the summers (2005-08) at Atlantic City High School and also held internships with the New England Patriots in 2008 and the Atlantic City Card Sharks of National Indoor Football League in 2004.
Eisenstein is a Black Belt in karate.
