1999 (JUNIOR): Entered the season on limited action due to off-season arthroscopic knee surgery…totaled 17 tackles in 11 games as a reserve defensive end…had three tackles for loss for eight yards… recorded five quarterback hurries…had a tackle for loss against Florida A&M…had three tackles, two assisted and helped on one sack against Penn State…recovered a fumble at East Carolina…posted a season-high four tackles at Florida State…had a tackle at Boston College… totaled two tackles at Virginia Tech…recorded two tackles, one for loss, against Rutgers…had one tackle against Syracuse…finished the regular season with three tackles against Temple.
1998 (SOPHOMORE): Shared duties at left end with Michael Boireau …made eight starts…did not play against Cincinnati…credited with 35 tackles, including 14 solo stops…made his first career interception at Syracuse…recorded a career-best nine tackles in win over Pittsburgh… had a pair of sacks against Rutgers and Temple…also recovered a fumble at Temple in a seven-tackle performance.
1997 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in all 11 games as a redshirt freshman…finished seventh among defensive linemen with 22 tackles…was fifth among defensive linemen with 15 assists…tied for the team lead in sacks with four...also had one tackle for loss, a pass break-up, a forced fumble and seven quarterback hurries…showed his potential to dominate as a pass rusher at Florida State with three sacks despite limited playing time...had never played more than 17 downs in a game prior to facing the Seminoles...joined current NFLers and first-round draft picks Kenny Holmes and Kenard Lang as the last Hurricanes to register three sacks in a game (both accomplished the feat during the 1996 season)...had a season-high seven tackles against Arkansas State, including one sack and a tackle for a loss…closed out the season with a five-tackle effort against Syracuse.
