2007 (SOPHOMORE): Second-leading rusher...Rushed a team-high 159 times for 582 yards (3.7-yard average), with four touchdowns...Also caught 14 passes for 100 yards, ranking fourth on the team...Had one 100-yard game and two others with more than 90 yards...Started and rushed a team-high 14 times for 99 yards and scored two touchdowns on runs of 5 and 8 yards against Marshall... Against Florida International, started and led the team with 92 yards rushing on 19 carries (4.8 average, 23 long)...Also caught two passes for 12 yards...Started in the backfield alongside freshman Graig Cooper against Duke and rushed 16 times for 57 yards (3.6 average)...Also caught three passes for 28 yards...At Florida State, started and rushed 20 times for 73 yards and caught two passes for one yard...Led the team with 103 yards rushing on 18 carries (5.7 average) against NC State, which marked his first 100-yard rushing performance of the season and fourth of his career.
2006 (FRESHMAN): Selected second-team Freshman All-American by Rivals.com, third-team by CollegeFootballNews.com and honorable mention by The Sporting News...Selected to The Sporting News ACC All-Freshman team...Played in all 13 games, starting the last 10 games...Led the team in rushing with 175 carries for 802 yards, which is the second-most yards ever for a Miami true freshman behind Clinton Portis' 838 yards in 1999...Ranked fourth in the nation in rushing among true freshman, behind Wisconsin's P.J. Hill (1,569 yards), Southern Mississippi's Damion Fletcher (1,388 yards), Clemson's C.J. Spiller (938 yards) and Texas A&M's Mike Goodson (847 yards)...Averaged 4.7 yards per rush and scored four times on the ground...Also proved to be a fine pass receiver, ranking fourth on the team with 17 receptions for 200 yards (11.8-yard average) and one touchdown...Rushed for more than 100 yards in three games...Ranked eighth in the ACC in rushing...Rushed for the most yards ever by a Miami true freshman making his first start (148 yards vs. Houston)...Saw his first action as a collegian in the fourth quarter of the season opener vs. Florida State and rushed three times for three yards...Played as a reserve against Florida A&M and scored the first two touchdowns of his career. Rushed 8 times for 75 yards (9.4-yard average) and one touchdown and caught one pass for a 21-yard TD. Marked the first time since 2003 that a Miami freshman scored two TDs in a game...Made his first start vs. Houston and rushed for 148 yards on 18 carries (8.2-yard average), with one touchdown. Also caught two passes for 22 yards. His rushing total was the second most ever for a true freshman in UM history (record: 153 by Frank Gore in 2001) and marked the most ever by a true freshman in his first start. Named the ACC Freshman of the Week...In his second start vs. North Carolina, rushed 16 times for 111 yards (6.9-yard average) and one touchdown and caught one pass for eight yards. Scored on a 62-yard run, which was the team's longest touchdown run since Willis McGahee went 69 yards for a TD against Pittsburgh on Nov. 21, 2002. Marked the first back-to-back 100-yard games since Tyrone Moss in the first two games of 2005 and became the first freshman to rush for consecutive 100-yard games since Clinton Portis recorded four straight in 1999...Played roughly half the game against FIU, leading the team with 36 yards rushing on 11 carries against FIU and catching one pass for minus-one yard...Rushed nine times for 19 yards and caught one pass for 13 yards at Duke...Had his third 100-yard game at Georgia Tech, gaining 113 yards on 19 carries (5.9-yard average), with a long of 49. Also caught two passes for 31 yards. Marked the third 100-yard game of his career in five starts. Increased his rushing total to 529 yards, more yards than all but two true freshmen in UM history (in the game he passed Leonard Conley, older cousin Edgerrin James and Tyrone Moss). His 49-yard run was his third run of 40-plus yards...Against Virginia Tech, rushed four times for 20 yards before suffering a hip pointer and sitting out most of the game. Also caught one pass for three yards...Led the team with 78 yards rushing on 22 carries (3.5 average, 16 long) at Maryland. With 627 rushing yards for the season, became UM's second-leading rusher among true freshman behind Clinton Portis (838 yards in 1999)...A week later at Virginia, led the team with 95 yards on 21 carries (4.5 average, 13 long). Did not catch a pass for the second straight game...Had 79 total yards in the regular-season finale vs. Boston College. Led the team with 45 yards rushing on 20 carries (11 long), and scored the game's go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter on a two-yard run. Also tied for the team lead with four receptions for 34 yards...Rushed 17 times for 35 yards (18 long) in the MPC Computers Bowl vs. Nevada. Also caught 2 passes for 27 yards (15 long).
HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior in 2005, missed five games because of a knee injury but returned to the lineup and still finished with more than 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns...After he returned, rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns on just 12 carries in one game, and 300 yards and three more TDs in a playoff game...As a junior in 2004, rushed 225 times for 1,658 yards and 28 touchdowns and led his team to the state title...As a sophomore, had 165 carries for 1,145 yards and 14 touchdowns...As a freshman, rushed for more than 800 yards with 16 touchdowns...Rated the No. 13 running back in the nation and the 21st overall player in Florida by Rivals.com...Ranked the No. 35 running back in the country by Scout.com...Rated the No. 21 running back and the No. 144 overall player in the country by ESPN...Rated the No. 18 running back and the No. 135 overall player in the country by Collegefootballnews.com...Rated the No. 4 player on the Miami Herald's list of the state's top 25 players...Member of the PrepStar 200 and ranked the No. 18 running back...Rated the No. 2 running back on the Florida Times-Union Super 75...Ranked the No. 11 player in the state by the Orlando Sentinel...Chose Miami over Southern Cal, Florida, South Florida, Nebraska and Oklahoma...Coached by John Weber.
