2001 (SENIOR): The leader of Miami's excellent corps of receivers…completed his fifth and final season as a Miami Hurricane in the Rose Bowl win over Nebraska…provided guidance and experience to UM's youthful group of receivers…despite missing five games with a pair of leg injuries, Jones finished fifth on the team in receptions with 19…had 240 receiving yards while averaging 12.6 yards per catch….returned four punts for 20 yards, all in the season opener against Penn State…had one catch for 15 yards in the 33-7 win over the Nittany Lions…suffered a knee injury on a punt return against Penn State that caused him to miss the game against Rutgers…returned to action against Pittsburgh, catching three passes for 24 yards…had four catches for 58 yards against Troy State…had two catches for 52 yards in the win at Florida State, including a key 34-yard catch-and-run in the third quarter…suffered a high ankle sprain against FSU while blocking on Willis McGahee's 8-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter…the injury caused him to miss the next four games…returned to play against Washington, catching four passes for 62 yards…had a season-best five catches for 29 yards in the season finale victory at Virginia Tech…the most accomplished track/football athlete in UM history...has excellent speed and big play ability.
2000 (JUNIOR): Earned first-team All-BIG EAST honors as a kickoff return specialist after leading the conference with a 27.0 average (13 returns for 351 yards)...led the Hurricanes in punt returns average with a 24.1 mark as he covered 169 yards on just seven punt returns...returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown in the 52-6 rout of Boston College, spinning out of a tackle on his own 13 and outrunning everyone for the score...caught 12 passes for 181 yards (15.1 avg.) and a touchdown...was fifth on the team in receptions...his best game was the season opener vs. McNeese State when Jones had four catches for 81 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown reception...started at flanker in the 2001 Nokia Sugar Bowl win over Florida, catching two passes for 26 yards...averaged 25 yards on three kickoff returns against the Gators, including a 37-yarder...set up a clinching touchdown against Florida by UM with a scintillating 44-yard punt return in the third period… came back from a redshirt season to become one of the team's most effective and versatile performers in 2000...

1998 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in every game despite a nagging knee injury...hauled in 12 passes for 146 yards...averaged 12.2 yards per catch...scored the game-winning touchdown in 34-31 win at West Virginia...reeled in a 3-yard scoring strike from Scott Covington with 1:37 left in the game on third-and-goal...came back a week later to record a career-best five receptions against Boston College...scored on a 10-yard TD pass vs. the Eagles...had a season-long 56-yard grab at Rutgers...also returned three kickoffs for 44 yards.
1997 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in every game and started eight contests...fourth leading receiver on the team with 16 receptions for 252 yards and two touchdowns...finished tied for eighth on the UM freshman single-season receptions chart...recorded first career touchdown catch on game-winning 21-yard grab on third-and-18 in second overtime at Boston College...led team with 55 receiving yards at Florida State...caught at least one pass in each of the final 10 games...pulled down 60-yard touchdown bomb from Ryan Clement to cap off a 97-yard drive vs. Arkansas State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Carter...SuperPrep first-team All-American...Dallas Morning News All-American selection...totaled 23 receptions for 486 yards and five touchdowns in just eight games his senior year...finished his career as the second-leading all-time receiver at Carter...caught 23 passes for 832 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior...also tallied 15 carries for 427 yards and two touchdowns during junior campaign...earned three letters in track and competed in the National Junior Olympics...coached by Bruce Chambers.
