2003 (SOPHOMORE): Played in seven games, making three starts (Florida State, Temple and Pittsburgh)...made 19 tackles (12 solos) and one pass breakup...missed most of fall practice due to injury and was expected to redshirt until Mo Sikes injured his knee against West Virginia...saw his first action of the season at Florida State...started at strong safety at FSU and was second on the team with nine tackles, including seven solo stops...also broke up one pass versus the Seminoles...started against Temple and registered three tackles (two solo)...made one assisted tackle at Virginia Tech and one solo stop against Tennessee...assisted on one tackle against Syracuse...logged two solo tackles against Rutgers...made his third start of the season in UM's win at Pittsburgh...had two assists against the Panthers.
2002 (FRESHMAN): Had an excellent season in his first year at Miami...one of several true freshmen to play extensively during the 2002 season...started once at free safety, once at strong safety and once in a nickel package...saw extensive playing time on special teams, playing in 12 games and starting once (Florida A&M)...played against Virginia Tech, but did not make a tackle...had two tackles at Syracuse...had one stop against Pittsburgh...had one solo tackle against Tennessee...recorded four tackles including three solos in the win over Connecticut...made two tackles (one solo) against Boston College...made four tackles, including a tackle for a one-yard loss, against Florida A&M...one of two true freshmen defensive backs to start the opener.
