Was second on the team in receptions with 43 . . . Led Miami in receiving yards with 755 yards . . . Had a team-high 10 touchdown receptions, tied with Lamar Thomas (1992) and Andre Johnson (2001) for the second-best single-season total in Miami history . . . Had a team-best five receptions for 59 yards and two touchdowns in the Hurricanes' season opening victory over McNeese State . . . Recorded touchdown grabs of five and seven yards in the opening quarter . . . Recorded four catches for 84 yards at Washington . . . Earned BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week at West Virginia after pulling in a team-best seven catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns . . . 1999 (JUNIOR): Placed third on the team with 40 receptions for 486 yards...his 12.1 yards per catch average also ranked third on the team... averaged 40.5 receiving yards a contest...had at least one pass reception for 14 or more yards in 12 of the 13 games...made a healthy return to the Hurricane line-up with a team-best five catches, gaining 40 yards, against Ohio State in the Kickoff Classic...led the team with seven catches for 80 yards at East Carolina, including a 21-yard first quarter touchdown...caught five balls at Florida State for 59 yards, including an eight-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter...caught a 22-yard pass on fourth-and-17 from the Boston College 35-yard line that set up Andy Crosland's game-winning 30-yard field goal...snagged a team-best five passes for 74 yards against West Virginia, including a long of 28 yards...51-yard catch on the first play at Virginia Tech was a season-long...recorded five receptions for 32 yards against Rutgers... had 47 yards receiving and a touchdown on three catches vs. Syracuse...scored a touchdown against Temple...closed out the season with four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown against Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl.
1998 (SOPHOMORE): Team leader in receptions (42)...ranked second in receiving yards (629)...had started in 19 straight games, dating back to Week 2 of freshman season before missing last two contests of '98 regular season with left knee ACL injury...underwent reconstructive surgery following regular season...started season on Biletnikoff Award "Watch List"...led the team in receptions in six of nine games...also recorded team-high receiving yards in four contests...ranked fifth in the BIG EAST averaging 69.9 yards receiving per game...4.67 catches per game average was fifth best in the conference...named Visa Player of the Game vs. Virginia Tech...corralled six passes for a career-high 153 yards against the Hokies...was also on the receiving end of 15- and 84-yard scoring strikes marking the first multi-TD game of his career...put the Canes ahead of VTech 20-17 with an electrifying 84-yard touchdown run and catch with 14:44 remaining in regulation, marking the sixth longest pass play in UM history...had six catches for 80 yards in win over West Virginia with two receptions inside the Mountaineer 5-yard line leading to UM touchdowns...surpassed the century mark in receiving yards three times during career...led the team in receptions each of his first two years.
1997 (FRESHMAN): Named BIG EAST Rookie of the Year and Sporting News first-team freshman All-American...earned second-team All-BIG EAST honors...led Miami with 48 receptions and 640 yards receiving... set UM's single-season freshman receptions record breaking Michael Irvin's mark of 46 catches in 1985...ranks second behind Irvin on freshman receiving yardage list (840 yards)...led the Hurricanes in receptions in eight games and in receiving yards in five...grabbed nine catches for 137 yards against Pittsburgh, marking the first time a freshman surpassed 100 yards receiving since Irvin...his 137 yards against Pittsburgh ranks third all-time on the Hurricane single-game freshman receiving list...broke the century mark again with 112 receiving yards on seven catches vs. Rutgers...grabbed season-long 33-yard pass against the Scarlet Knights...had five receptions for 66 yards in first career start against Arizona State to become the first freshman since Irvin to lead Miami in receiving in a game...scored first career touchdown on 19-yard catch in first quarter at Boston College...became the Hurricanes starting flanker the second game of the season and started every game thereafter...ranked third on the team with 640 all purpose yards.
HIGH SCHOOL: Ehret...USA Today honorable mention All-American... considered one of the top five recruits from Louisiana...two-time All-State selection...totaled 930 yards and 10 touchdowns on 50 receptions his senior year...also played free safety amassing 47 tackles and eight interceptions, half of which were returned for touchdowns...caught 64 passes for 1,064 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior...competed in 200-meter dash and various relays as member of track team... coached by Billy North.
