One of four true freshmen to play for Miami this season...a gifted receiver who moved to tight end during the season after starting out as a tight end when he reported to school in August...son of former San Diego Charger tight end Kellen Winslow, a member of the NFL Hall of Fame...has shown excellent progress this season as both a receiver and a special teams player on kickoff coverage...has made six tackles on special teams this fall (three unassisted) and one fumble recovery...caught two passes for 34 yards, both from reserve quarterback Derrick Crudup...first catch came in the victory at Pittsburgh, a 15-yarder in the fourth quarter...his other catch was a 19-yard reception against West Virginia.

PERSONAL: Nicknamed "Shash"...his father is NFL Hall of Fame tight end Kellen Winslow, a former San Diego Chargers and University of Missouri star who currently is a television sports analyst...an uncle, David Winslow, played college basketball at Northeast Missouri State and professionally in Australia...chose Miami over Michigan State, Washington, UCLA, Texas, Michigan, Southern California and Ohio State...son of Kellen Winslow and Katrina Ramsey.
