Miami Quarterback Jacory Harris
On the game:
"I know I have to go out there and win the football game. Injured or not I have to make
the play. If coach calls for the deep ball, I have to make the deep ball. I threw it as far as I
could and then Hankerson made a play for me. It's just something that coach knows
we've been working on and I just need to take what the defense is going to give me. I
kind of slipped up a little bit on the interception but other than that I just took what the
defense gave me."
On the future:
"Right now I'm not thinking about the future. I'm just kind of upset that I let the senior
class down. That is something that we have been discussing all week. The future will
come and great things will happen."
Miami Linebacker Glenn Cook
On the Jahvid Best:
"I think we made a few mistakes. He [Jahvid Best] is a great back and we settled down
and stopped him. But I think we just gave up too many big plays. We've been talking
about it all week that he is a great player and it would be key for us to stop the run and
contain him. We didn't do enough."
Miami Wide Receiver Laron Byrd
On the game:
"Our senior leaders stepped up for us. We knew what we were capable of doing but we
made the mistakes in the beginning."
On the touchdown:
"Touchdowns don't really matter when you lose the game. But, coach put me in position
to make the play. I'm not too thrilled about a touchdown when you lose though."
