Senior tennis player David Rosenfeld, who led the UM men's team to road victories over North Carolina and Duke last week, has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending March 22.
Rosenfeld, clinched both matches as the Hurricanes were victorious in both contests by a 4-3 score. Playing the number three singles slot, Rosenfeld won a three-set match against Andrew Crone 7-6, 2-6, 6-2 to give the Hurricanes the win. Against Duke on Sunday, March 22, Rosenfeld again picked up the decisive fourth point when he again claimed a three-set victory defeating Dylan Arnould 6-1, 5-7, 7-5.
With the wins, the Hurricanes improved their record to 4-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. They return to action on Friday, March 27 when they play host to the number one ranked Virginia Cavaliers at the Neil Shiff Tennis Center at 3 pm.
