Blacksburg, Va. - The University of Miami men's track and field team finished the two-day Virginia Tech Elite at the Rector Field House on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Three-time All-American Tim Harris known for his prowess in the 800-meters, won the event with a NCAA provisional time of 1:50.34.

High jumper Elan Daviglus, who came off an impressive third-place finish at the Tom Jones Invitational with a mark of 6-08.75, was victorious this week as he leapt 6-09.00, tying his personal best.

In his first collegiate high jump competition, freshman Diego Rosado placed sixth for the Hurricanes, with a jump of 6-03.25.

"Elan and Tim had a nice day for us, giving us three wins on the weekend (Les Bradley 60-m hurdles). I am very pleased with the team's effort," said head coach Mike Ward. "Next week in Arkansas, we look to improve individual marks for ACC Championship seeding."

The Hurricanes have one more opportunity to jockey for seeding in the ACC Championships as they travel to Fayetteville, Ark. for the Tyson Invitational
