CORAL GABLES, Fla. -

The University of Miami men's and women's track and field teams will open up the 2007 outdoor season as the host of the annual Hurricane Invitational held Thursday through Saturday at Cobb Stadium.

 

Including Miami the three-day invite will feature athletes from 20 different teams including UM ACC counterpart Duke as well as the SEC's South Carolina and Tennessee and the Big XII's Texas.

 

Competition is slated to begin Thursday and Friday with the men's and women's heptathlon and decathlon. Saturday's action, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., will consist of 22 combined men's and women's events.
