DES MOINES, Iowa - The University of Miami's Tim Harris was unable to qualify for the National Championship Final in the 800-meters after his sixth-place finish in his 800-meter semi-final heat at Drake University's Drake Stadium.

 

The senior out of Miami's Booker T. Washington High School, ran a time of 1:48.85 in his last collegiate 800-meter race.

 

Harris became a four-time All-American as a member of the Hurricanes with his best Outdoor National Championship finish of seventh-place coming in 2006.  Earlier this year, Harris finished fourth at the Indoor National Championships.


 

 

 

In his four years at the University of Miami, Harris won a total of six ACC Titles in the 800-meters, three each in the indoor and outdoor event.
