University of Miami seniors Ginou Etienne, Brenda Faluade and Amy Seward have been placed on the 2007 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-America Team as announced Monday by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA.)

Etienne garnered All-America honors for her performance in the 400-meters. The accolade gives her outdoor All-America distinction for the fourth time in her career, having earned All-America honors as a member of the 4x400-meter relay team in each of the previous three seasons.

Faluade, who hails from Katy, Texas, was tabbed a 2007 outdoor All-American in both the long jump and the triple jump. After earning All-America accolades in the long jump in 2004 and 2006, she received recognition this season in the triple jump with a seventh place finish in the finals of the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

With their distinction this season, Etienne and Faluade conclude their UM careers as one of only seven athletes to ever earn at least four All-America honors.

A native of Virginia Beach, Va. Seward tallied her second career outdoor All-America selection with a seventh place finish in the long jump at this year's NCAA Championships. She was a 2006 All-America selection as a member of the UM 4x100-meter relay team.

All-America honors are accorded to the top eight finishers in each event at the NCAA Championships. In the event that one or more of the top eight finishers is of foreign nationality, eight American-born athletes are awarded All-America honors in addition to those of another nationality.

With Etienne, Faluade and Seward's combined four All-America accolades in 2007, the UM women's track and field team has tallied a total of 76 outdoor All-America honors under the direction of head coach Amy Deem, who recently completed her 17th season.
